RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has said that judiciary is committed to provide speedy justice to the litigants at all level and all possible facilities are being extended to law officers as well as members of bar associations up to tehsil level to discharge their professional responsibilities efficiently.
In his address at the inaugural ceremony of E-Library established in LHC Bar Association in Rawalpindi Bench on Saturday, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah termed the shifting on new technology imperative for quick disposal of cases and said that E-Libraries had been established at all district and tehsil bar associations to facilitate lawyers to get references of law publications, cases and relevant matter throughout the entire world.
He said that E-Libraries would help to update the knowledge of law professionals and to avail the opportunities of interactions with law experts and lawyers community across the globe.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah constituted a Reforms Committee comprising of the presidents of High Court bar associations and stressed that the reforms in judicial sector would be done with mutual consultation of bar and bench. He also stressed for dialogue between lawyers and law officers to resolve any issues if any.
He lauded the efforts of lawyers for early disposal of under trial cases and said that automation of judiciary will be completed by the end of September this year which would further help to improve the efficiency of courts.
On this occasion, he said that bar associations have been provided computers, printers and other related accessories to facilitate the law professionals.
He asked the young lawyers to ensure optimum use of IT bases facilities so that they could perform well during their professional career.
The ceremony was also attended by Honorable judges of LHC Rawalpindi Bench Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan, Justice Qazi Ameen, Justice Khalid Mehmud Malik, Justice Shahid Mehmud Abbasi, Justice Muddassir Khalid Abbasi, Justice Bashir Paracha, Justice Agha Muhammad Ali, Registrar LHC Khursheed Anwar, Addl. Registrar Abdul Nasir, President LHC Bar Association Zafar Mughal, District & Session Judge, Rawalpindi Sohail Nasir, Presidents of District and Tehsil bar association, senior lawyers and law officers.
