Justice Ejaz Afzal remarked that the Jang group reporter Ahmed Noorani tried to approach him twice. Justice Ejaz Afzal said that he replied to the reporter that he would only comment in the Court.

Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that how a reporter dared to approach a sitting Supreme Court judge, saying it was an open contempt of court.

The bench also summoned the transcript of speeches of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani, Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry.

The JIT head Wajid Zia told the bench that that report contained 10 volumes and requested the bench not to make the 10th volume public as it included foreign legal assistance and it would be used for further investigation.

The special bench asked parties to collect the copy of JIT report from the Registrar Office.

Likewise, in the last 15-day report, statements regarding political environment and threats given to the JIT members were also quoted.

During the probe conducted by the JIT, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s elder son Hussain Nawaz appeared six times before the Investigation Team, spending almost 25 hours at the Federal Judicial Academy which had been declared JIT’s Secretariat.
