ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Maryam Nawaz has said that if any Conspiracy is hatched against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he will emerge even further stronger and assume the premiership for fourth time.

Talking to media after appearing before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Wednesday, Maryam Nawaz said that she answered all questions of JIT, adding that opponents could not prove any allegations against her.

Maryam Nawaz said that she also asked JIT to tell her that what is allegation on her? But JIT, she added, did not answer her question.

Maryam said that her name was not mentioned in Supreme Court’s order in Panama Papers Case but yet she presented herself for accountability. She said that all questions of JIT were related to family business.

Moreover, Maryam Nawaz also thanked all workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) who came there to express solidarity with her.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz appeared before the JIT in Panama Case and recorded her statement for two hours, becoming Sharif family’s eighth member to go through the interrogation.

Maryam Nawaz accompanied by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, State Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, her Spouse Captain (retd) Safdar, and her brothers Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz reached the Federal Judicial Academy in Islamabad to appear before the JIT to record her Statement.

The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Asif Kirmani was also present along with Maryam Nawaz.

Strick security arrangements had been put in place around the judicial academy during the appearance of Maryam Nawaz.

Prior to Maryam Nawaz, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif himself, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Hussain Nawaz, Hassan Nawaz, Tariq Shafiq and some other concerned also appeared before the JIT.

The JIT has also summoned Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to record his statement later in the day.
