NationalIslamabad Traffic Police introducing ARD machine for renewal of licenses

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has made all arrangements to introduce Automatic Renewal of Driving License (ARD) machine which will enable the citizens to get renewal of their licenses without visiting traffic office.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Malik Matloob said that all requirements for installing ARD machine had already been completed and it would be installed shortly for providing the facility.

About the main features of ARD machine, the SSP (Traffic) said there would be no need to visit traffic office during office timing from 9 am to 3 pm as the said machine would be functional round the clock.

Those seeking to renew their licenses would place their old driving license on scanning machine while online fee payment facility would also be available through this technology, he said.

It will be mandatory to have address of Islamabad on CNICs for those wanting to renew their driving license, the SSP said.
