ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran Major General Mohammad Bagheri visited the Naval Headquarters (NHQ) in Islamabad on Thursday, and met the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.

During the meeting, bilateral naval collaboration, prevailing maritime environment, and avenues of cooperation between two navies were discussed.

The dignitary applauded the Pakistan Navy’s efforts and commitments in support of collaborative maritime security in the region.

Earlier upon his arrival, the visiting dignitary was presented a guard of honour. Later, the Iranian Army Chief Major General Mohammad Bagheri was introduced to Principal Staff Officers at NHQ.
