The first flight of newest airline Jazeera Airways reached the Islamabad International Airport early Wednesday from Kuwait.
The inaugural flight J9-511 landed at 04:30 am with 163 passengers on board.
The airline will operate two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays using its fleet of brand-new Airbus A320neos, one of the world’s most environmentally friendly aircraft that offers longer range, increased fuel savings and reduced CO2 emissions compared to previous Airbus aircraft.
“Islamabad International Airport welcomes its newest airline Jazeera Airways with the arrival of its first ever flight from Kuwait,” the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) said.
