RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday directed Pakistani troops at the Line of Control (LoC) to respond to any violation by Indian forces with full force.

“Each violation of any kind must be responded with full force in the most effective manner,” the COAS said while talking to troops at Headquarters 10 Corps Rawalpindi on Friday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).general-qamar-javed-bajwa-meets-troops-at-loc

The COAS met troops on forward locations on the LoC, and was briefed in detail about prevailing security situation at LOC in view of recent violations and escalation by Indian troops and own response.

While appreciating troops for their operational readiness and befitting response given to unprovoked Indian firing in violation of cease fire agreement, the COAS directed them to keep highest level of vigil at all times.

The COAS said that Indian aggressive posture solely aims to divert attention of the world from atrocities being committed by their troops in Indian occupied Kashmir.

General Qamar Bajwa said that core issue of Kashmir will have to be resolved between the two countries in the line with United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the people of Kashmir, for lasting peace in the region.

Earlier upon arrival at Corps Headquarter, Commander of 10 Corps Lt General Malik Zafar Iqbal received the COAS and later accompanied him during his visit to LoC.
