The federal government has announced five-day public holidays on the eve of Eid Ul Fitr 2023.

The Eid Ul Fitr Holidays in Pakistan will be from next Friday to Tuesday (April 21-25).

“The Prime Minister is pleased to declared 21st to 25 st April, 2023 (Friday to Tuesday) as public holiday on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr,” read the notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday.Eid Ul Fitr Holidays in PakistanThe Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will meet on April 20 for the sighting of Shawwal Moon which marks marking the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

However, according to the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC), Eid Ul Fitr 2023 in Pakistan is likely to be celebrated on April 22.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways has announced to operate five Special Trains on occasion of Eid Ul Fitr to facilitate the travel needs of the public.

The trains will operate from Karachi to Lahore and Karachi and Peshawar to various locations across the Country.

The first of Special Train will leave Karachi for Peshawar Cantt on April 18 while the second will depart from Quetta to Rawalpindi on the same day.

The third Special Train will run from Karachi to Lahore on April 19 whereas the fourth train will depart Rawalpindi for Quetta on April 26, and the fifth and last Special Train will run from Lahore to Karachi on April 27.Eid Ul Fitr Holidays in PakistanEid Ul Fitr Special Trains Routes & Timings:
