NationalEid-ul-Azha: Fashion outlets attract buyers with 50% off

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In order to attract buyers as Eid-ul-Azha is just a few days away, mostly fashion outlets in all over the Country have displayed banners of 50 percent discount.

The shopkeepers are attracting customers by displaying banners and big sign boards inscribing 50 percent discount “Sale mela” on them.

The most attracted technique by shopkeepers is to display big sign boards with printed words of sale in order to get their attention for selling their brands at the end of every season.

“I went to market for buying clothes and as I entered into a shop where big banners of sale were waving, I was surprised to see that the prices of clothes were reduced”, said Asifa Umer a shopper with her family.

Amna Ali said that it might be due to the approaching of Eid that summer clothes are still in shops and not out of season. She was of the view that she prefers to buy garments at the end of a season because of their reduced prices.

Some shopkeepers have destroyed the sanctity of the word Sale by permanently inscribing it on their shops, she added.

Amna Ali further said that there is need to form some kind of mechanism to check whether a shop is selling things on reduced prices or they are just dodging people with the jugulary of words.

Another shopper Ikram Ali said that the rates of which claimed by shopkeeper that we are selling on 50 percent discount also more than the real price but the word discount “Sale Mela” attract people particularly female.
