ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: From the platform of Pakistan Observer, the nuclear scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has thanked the nation for their prayers for his speedy recovery.
The 85-year-old Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, who is also considered as Mohsin-i-Pakistan (saviour of Pakistan), was admitted to the Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) Hospital in Islamabad on August 26 after he contracted Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Later, he was shifted to a military hospital in Rawalpindi.
In a statement on Thursday from the platform of Pakistan Observer, the nuclear scientist expressed gratitude to the people for offering prayers for his early recovery from the ailment.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer is considered the father of Pakistan’s nuclear program and is revered at home as a hero for building the Muslim world’s first atomic bomb.
