LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced to increase the Digital Land Record Centres across the province from 107 to 8,000.

In a Twitter statement on Tuesday, Usman Buzdar said that currently, there are merely 107 Land Record Centres in Punjab; therefore, a number of complaints of corruption are being received with regard to land issues.

The Chief Minister said that the number of Digital Land Record Centres in Punjab would be extended to 700 by the end of March 2021 and 8,000 by December.

Usman Buzdar said that it would help control corruption and the people would get services at their doorstep.

Besides, there are 20 Mobile Units for far-flung areas of Punjab and further 20 Units would be functional soon.

The move will make it much easier for citizens to obtain Fard (ownership document) and transfer of land.
