ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Sheikh Anser Aziz Saturday said it was the top priority of the civic body to develop neglected residential sectors.

He expressed these views during his visit to sectors I-11 and I-12.

He said allottees of Sector I-11 had been ignored for at least 30 years and we could feel the pain of allottees of the ignored sectors and would address their long standing issues very soon.

Financial allocations for development work of Sector I-11 would be ensured, he added.

Top management of the CDA including Member Engineering Shahid Sohail, Member Planning & Design, Asad Mehboob Kiani, Deputy Mayor, MCI, Syed Zeshan Ali Naqvi and other relevant officers were accompanied the mayor.

Mayor inspected the work on under construction dual carriage road in I-11 and directed its earliest completion.

He directed to initiate sewerage, drainage and other allied works in Sector I-11 as well.

He also inspected the ongoing development work in Sector I-12.

The mayor was briefed that construction work of major roads in Sector I-12 was in progress but a slow pace due to inconsistent funds flow.

He was further briefed that 6266 plots had been allotted in Sector I-12 including 2908 plots with smaller size.

Construction of University Road, Markaz Road, Park Road, Civic Road and Bolan Road were included in ongoing development work in Sector I-12.
