ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Emergencies Operation Center has said that the Cyclonic Storm “ASNA” has moved away from the Pakistan’s Coast westward and it is expected to move further west and southwestward.
It said that the Cyclonic Storm ASNA is located at about 185 kilometers southwest of Karachi, 210 kilometers south-southeast of Ormara, and 370 kilometers southeast of Gwadar.
The Center anticipated that the system will result in wind speeds of 60-80 kilometers per hour (km/h) along Pakistan’s Coast and up to Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Dadu districts.
Under this influence, Karachi division, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tandu Allah Yar, Matiari, Jamshoro, and Dadu are likely to get showers with heavy downpours until tonight.
Similarly, Hub, Lasbella, Awaran, Keach, and Gwadar districts of Balochistan are also likely to experience strong winds and heavy showers until tomorrow night Coastal Flooding may occur along Sindh-coast.
