The Member of Punjab Assembly Samuel Yaqoob said that “Being a Pakistani Christian my thoughts are very clear that 11th of august is linked with Quaid-e-Azams speech regarding the freedom for the people of all the Religions living in Pakistan, but due to some reasons we people are not struggling for that freedom anymore and relying on others for our survival. Now it’s time that we stand for our freedom our rights our protection and our needs as a strong nation.”

The former MNA Mr. Asfand Yar Bandhara said that “On the 11th of August 1947, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah promised on the floor of the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan that all the citizens irrespective of their faith will be equal in the eyes of the state and the law, that all the people will be free to profess and practice their religions, and the state will not discriminate between people of one faith against another.”
