ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recovered approximately 840 acres of land from the land grabbers from September 2018 till September 2019, the National Assembly was told.

To a question by Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) Shams Un Nisa, the Minister for Interior Ijaz Ahmad Shah told the House that in the following areas, the CDA recovered the land from the land grabbers;

  • Right of Way of Kashmir Highway, Sector G-12.
  • Nullah Korang.
  • GT Road Tarnol.
  • Bahria Enclave – Kuri Road.
  • Botanical Garden.
  • Sector E-12.
  • Quaid-e-Azam University land, etc
  • Blue Area + Mauve Area + Margalla Road.
  • King Hammad Medical University.
  • Malpur.

The interior minister told that the land grabbers are being dealt strictly in accordance with provision contained in CDA Orinance-1960 and other applicable laws besides registration of FIRs in concerned Police Station.

Besides, Rs 1.740 million have been collected on account of fine, he told.

Ijaz Shah said that the land will be utilized as per actual Master Plan of Islamabad.

Separately apprising the House about the prevention of fraudulent marriages with Pakistanis girls by the pseudo Chinese people; the arrest of Chinese nationals and their facilitators has discouraged the tendency of alleged illegal marriage between Pakistani girls and Chinese nationals.
