KARACHI, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the Sindh government has realized the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto by launching state-of-art Sindh People’s ambulance service to improve health services in Thatta and Sujawal.

While addressing the launching ceremony of the ambulance service in Karachi on Friday, Bilawal said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, the first women prime minister of Pakistan and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto always worked to provide best possible services in every sector to the marginalized segment of the society.

Bilawal said that the Sindh government by launching the ambulance service in partnership with Aman Foundation has actually materialized the dream of our Shaheed leadership.

The PPP Chairman said that the over 200 local people of Thatta and Sujawal have been trained to provide emergency health service in their respective areas.

The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that former President Asif Zardari was the architect of Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Sindh.

Murad Ali Shah said that this is the first step to launch an ambulance service in partnership with Aman Foundation in Thatta and Sujawal and then a similar service would be started in each and every district of the province, and assured people of the province to provide best health services in every nook and corner of the province.

The service has been started with 25 ambulances equipped with basic life support.

Out of 25 ambulances 12 have been given to Thatta and 10 to Sujawal and three have been kept in back up.

The operating expenditures of the service would be around Rs 268.31 million.

Those who spoke on the occasion include Secretary Health Drt Fazal Pechuho who briefed on the operation of the service and Malik Ahmed Jalal CEO of Amn Foundation.

Earlier, the Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari launched the service by cutting the tap and also he was briefed about the equipment and facilities installed in the Ambulances.
