LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that baseless allegations of the opponents have no value.

In a statement in Lahore on Friday, the Chief Minister said that the elements conspiring against development and prosperity of the Country are indulged in the politics of lies and this mendacity cannot support their negative politics.

His statement comes a day before he is set to appear before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), probing Sharif family’s financial dealings abroad as per directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Prior to Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as well as his both sons Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz also appeared before the JIT separately and recorded their statements.

The Punjab Chief Minister further said that the people cannot be served with hollow sloganeering; rather one has to burn the midnight oil to serve the people.

Shahbaz Sharif said that that his life and death rests with the people and as long as he is alive, and he will continue to selflessly serve the people.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) government has put the country on the road to development and prosperity.

Shabaz said that the conscious people are fully aware that who has selflessly served them and they also know that when the political elements have put the interests of the Country at stake.

Moreover, he said that defeated elements are trying to get support of baseless allegations to alive their residual politics.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that the conscious people have always shown mirror to these elements through the power of their vote, and they will again reject the elements indulged in negative politics during the 2018 general elections.
