LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicted another rain spell likely to start from Thursday.
According to a spokesman of the department, a fresh westerly weather system is likely to enter Baluchistan on Wednesday evening/night and likely to spread over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Punjab on Thursday.
Under the influence of this weather system, scattered rain-thundershower is expected in upper Punjab including Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions during Thursday (evening/night) to Sunday while isolated rain thunderstorm is also expected in south Punjab (Bahawalpur, Multan, D.G. Khan) during Thursday night to Friday.
Widespread rain-thundershower (with isolated heavy falls) is expected in FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from Thursday to Saturday while scattered rain-thundershowers are expected in Baluchistan on Thursday and Friday.
Rain/thundershowers in upper Punjab may be accompanied by isolated hailstorm, the spokesman added.
