ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In multiple operations conducted across the Country, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered a massive amount of narcotics worth a million dollars value in the international market.
In operations conducted from January 31 to February 2, 2022, massive recoveries were made.
In an intelligence-based operation in Quetta, 215 kilograms of crystal were recovered by the Regional Director of the ANF Balochistan with an international market value of US$ 12516000.
In another recovery, 400 litres of contraband precursor chemical used in drug manufacturing was recovered by PS Dalbandin, Balochistan.
The ANF recovered 2.5 kilograms of cocaine concealed in sceneries at Islamabad International Airport.
It was being carried by a Brazilian who had to board a flight no. EK 612 on January 31, 2022. Another 850 grams of hashish concealed in dry fruit and capsules in the abdomen were caught at Islamabad airport.
The passenger was destined to fly to Doha on flight no. QR 633 on February 2, 2022.
In operations conducted across Sindh with one of them being in collaboration with Sindh Rangers, a total of 46 kg heroin, 2.4 kg ice, and 362 kg hashish were recovered.
The Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Brig (retd) Ijaz Ahmad Shah lauded the efforts of ANF and appreciated its role in combating drugs.
