ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The newly appointed Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu visited the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Air Chief was welcomed by the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, and presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Navy.

The Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu laid a wreath at the Shuhada Monument. He was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers at the Naval Headquarters, and briefed on the duties and operational activities of the Pakistan Navy.

Later the visiting dignitary held a discussion with the Naval Chief and exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.

The Naval Chief congratulated the Air Chief Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu on assuming Command of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), and said that the Pakistan Navy and the PAF will continue endeavours to enhance synergy and seamless integration in related matters.

The Air Chief also assured the PAF’s full support and pledged to work together in making the defence of the Country impregnable.

Zaheer Ahmad Babar said that the efforts of the Pakistan Navy to check illegal activities in the Country’s maritime boundaries are commendable.
