National5 Pakistan Army Solders martyred in blast near LoC: ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Five Pakistan army soldiers embraced shahadat (martyrdom) while one got injured in an explosive blast in Barnala area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the ISPR said that the blast occurred in Chamb Sector, a few meters from the Line of Control (LoC). It said that the nature of the blast is being ascertained.

The ISPR said that the incident is an evident of state-sponsored terrorism by India violating bilateral ceasefire agreement and the international rules.

Those Pakistan army soldiers who embraced shahadat in the blast include;

Subedar Muhammad Sadiq

The 44-year-old Subedar Muhammad Sadiq had 23 years of services in Pakistan army. He had three sons and two daughters. He was a resident of village Bandi P/0 Jura, Authmaqam Tehsil and Neelam District.

 

 

 

 

Sepoy Muhammad Tayyab

The 26-year-old Sepoy Muhammad Tayyab had five years of service in Pakistan army. He was married and a resident of village Surakhi, Khushab Tehsil & District.

 

 

 

 

Sepoy Zohaib

The 20-year-old Sepoy Zohaib had been in Pakistan army for seven months. He was married and a resident of village Nandi Nar Ghamir Manhdala, Hajira Tehsil and Poonch District.

 

 

 

 

Sepoy Ghulam Qasim

The 22-year-old Sepoy Ghulam Qasim had one year of service in Pakistan army. He was unmarried and a resident of village Sahiwal, Tehsil Sahiwal, Sargodha District.

 

 

 

 

Naik Sher Zaman

Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
