ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The 142nd birthday of father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah would be celebrated on December 25 (Monday) across the Country with traditional zeal and fervour, aimed at educating the youth about the Quaid’s vision and Pakistan’s ideology.

Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi.

The birthday is a public holiday and the national flag will be hoisted on principal government buildings throughout the Country.

The day will dawn with special prayers for the security, progress and prosperity of the Country.

The Federal Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage will celebrate the day with the theme “Hamara Quaid and Mein Hoon Quaid Ka Pakistan”.

Special events will be arranged on the day to highlight and promote ideals and views of the Father of the Nation, particularly with regards to rule of law, supremacy of constitution, and upholding of democracy.

Activities will be held in schools and colleges and the government, social and literary organizations will arrange special programmes to shed light on Quaid-e-Azam’s lifelong political struggle and his guiding principles of unity, faith and discipline.

Quran Khawani would be held at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi while change of guards ceremony would also take place.

A large number of people from all walks of life would visit the tomb to pay tribute to Quaid e Azam for his services he rendered for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub continent.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a lawyer and politician and served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan’s independence on 14 August 1947, and then as Pakistan’s first Governor-General until his death on September 11, 1948.

Five terrorists sent to hell in Balochistan Islamabad, Pakistan: On 18 October 24, security forces conducted a successful intelligence based operation in District Pishin on reported presence of Khwarij (TTP). During the operation, five khwarij were apprehended and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives including 3 x Suicide Vests were seized. Apprehended Khwarij were involved in multiple terrorist attacks and were planning to target security forces as well as innocent civilians. Punjab Highway Patrol releases annual performance report for 2024 Lahore, Pakistan: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) has released annual performance report for 2024 that shows promising working under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar. According to details, in the year 2024, PHP checked 31.4 million people on the highways across Punjab through e-Police Post App and arrested 6,537 proclaimed offenders/judicial fugitives. Punjab Highway Patrol checked 18.8 million vehicles with the help of modern technology and also recovered 3,350 stolen vehicles/motorcycles. Legal action was taken against 869,000 overloaded vehicles for axle load violation. Legal action was taken against more than 12,000 vehicles across Punjab for illegal use of gas cylinders. In view of the convenience of the citizens, last year, PHP issued 148,000 driving licenses - 678 missing children were reunited with their parents. 5,005 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed and traffic flow was improved. More than 112,000 passengers facing difficulties on the roads across Punjab were provided with various types of assistance and guidance. 119,000 citizens were provided with various types of assistance and guidance at Police Khidmat Markazes. 1,093 cases were registered for the use of illegal weapons. 20,925 liters of alcohol, 400 kilograms of hashish, 53 kilograms of opium and 5.5 kilograms of heroin were recovered from drug peddlers.
