CHAKWAL, Pakistan: In an unfortunate incident, at least 14 people were killed and 65 others suffered injuries when a bus overturned near Kallar Kahar in Chakwal on Sunday night.

Sources said that the bus was en route to Lahore from Islamabad carrying passengers for a wedding ceremony when it overturned in the Kallar Kahar Salt Range area.

The Spokesperson of Motorways Police said that the accident occurred due to the failure of brakes of the bus.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the accident.

The prime minister directed the authorities concerned to provide best medical facilities to the injured and prayed for those died in the accident.

Separately, the Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah directed the Rescue Staff to provide every possible assistance to the injured.
