ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Police to ensure elaborate security arrangements on the eve of Pakistan day to ensure efficient and proactive role of officials during patrolling, snap checking and at pickets.
According to a press release issued here Friday, the acting Inspector General of Police Islamabad Khalid Khan Khattak while chairing a meeting held to review security arrangements on March 23 (Pakistan day) directed all police officials to ensure foolproof security.
The IGP directed for effective patrolling as well as checking at the entry and exit points of the city. Issuing special directions to all concerned officials in connection with overall security, he said that no sluggish attitude during performance of duties would be tolerated.
The IGP directed for maintaining close coordination among all wings of Islamabad police and staff. He also ordered for effective operations in slum areas and Afghan habitats.
It has been directed to take further effective steps to control crime in the city and adopt a professional as well as responsible attitude to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
The IGP ordered to ensure arrest of proclaimed offenders and other criminals involved in crimes of heinous nature. He categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
