ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf inaugurated the three-day exhibition of rare manuscripts of the Holy Quran at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The exhibition being held from April 18-20 is a joint effort by National Assembly & Iranian Embassy & its Cultural Consulate.

It is being organized in continuation of Golden Jubilee of the Constitution 1973 of Pakistan.

The Members of the Advisory Committee to Oversee the Constitution related activities, Parliamentarians, Ambassadors, Government Officials and general public were also present on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, Raja Parvez Ashraf said that he wanted to inaugurate this exhibition on 27th Ramadan which is the day for the first revelation of the Holy Quran.

The Speaker said that our beloved Pakistan also got its independence on the 27th Ramadan, so it is a blessed day for us being Muslim and being Pakistani.

Raja Parvez Ashraf said that Holy Quran is the most revered and complete Constitution Book.

Pakistan’s Constitution conforms with the injections of Islam as laid down in the Quran and Sunnah, he added.

The exhibition features a collection of rare manuscripts of the Holy Quran which are considered to be some of the oldest (6th Century) and most valuable in the world.

The visitors will have the opportunity to view these manuscripts up close and learn more about their historical and cultural significance.
