ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that Pakistan values its Parliamentary relations with Japan.

Talking to the Japanese ambassador to Pakistan Takashi Kurai in a meeting held in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss Pak-Japan bilateral ties and other issues of mutual interest, Asad Qaiser said that Pakistan wants investment in various sectors from all Countries including Japan on priority basis.

Asad Qaiser said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will provide equal opportunities of trades to regional Countries, and Islamabad wants Japan to benefit from this mega project.

The Speaker said that Japan has a unique status in the region in terms of industrial and economic growth. He said that Pakistan desires to promote investment with Japan in all sectors.

The Speaker National Assembly said that both Pakistan and Japan stood side by side in difficult times. He said that not only both the Counties are located in the same continent but they also share values of democracy and human freedom.

The Japanese ambassador felicitated Asad Qaiser for his election as the Speaker National Assembly, and said that Japan also wants to further strengthen relations between the two Countries in all sectors including energy.

Takashi Kuria said that Japan will continue its cooperation with Pakistan for its economic development especially in areas of energy, education and information technology.
