ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova met the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Thursday, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
In the meeting with Asad Qaiser, the Speaker Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova said that her Country supports Pakistan’s principled position on the Kashmir dispute.
Sahiba Gafarova said that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions is imperative for durable peace in the region.

The Azeri Speaker emphasized the need for greater Parliamentary Exchanges between Pakistan and Azerbaijan to strengthen bilateral relations and bring the peoples of two Countries further close to each other.
Sahiba Gafarova said that Azerbaijan gives immense importance to its relations with Pakistan.
In his remarks, Asad Qaiser said the Central Asian States including Azerbaijan can use Gwadar port for the promotion of trade. He said that there are vast opportunities of the promotion of bilateral cooperation between the two Countries in the areas of trade, economy, and tourism.
Asad Qaiser said that Pakistan supports Azerbaijan’s stance on Nagorno-Karabakh.
Earlier upon her arrival, the Speaker Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova planted a sapling of Magnolia Grandiflora at the Parliament Lawn and offered special prayers for the development and prosperity of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
