Nation to celebrate Youm-e-Takbeer on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: The nation is celebrating Youm-e-Takbeer on Wednesday with national fervour and great enthusiasm to mark the day of nuclear tests carried by Pakistan on May 28, 1998.

The historic nuclear tests conducted by the country in Chaghi in response to Indian explosions made Pakistan the seventh nuclear nation of the world and first Islamic state equipped with nuclear arsenal.

Moreover, these nuclear tests also gave a clear message that despite Pakistan is a peace loving country but it cannot ignore its defence needs and is capable of meeting any challenge.

In order to highlight the importance of the day and achievement made by Pakistan on that day for its defence, rallies and special functions are being held by political and religious parties in all parts of the country.
