ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain on Friday inaugurated the screening of Pakistani films at Dubai Expo 2020.

From January 21 to February 26, 2022, 11 Pakistani films will be screened at the Pakistan Pavilion in Dubai Expo.

The following Pakistani films will be screened at Dubai Expo 2022;

The Opening Ceremony was attended by a large number of Overseas Pakistanis in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).



While inaugurating the screening of Pakistani films at Dubai Expo 2020, the information minister said that the government has taken concrete steps for the revival of the film and drama industry.

The minister said that special incentives including reduction in their taxes and electricity tariff have been given to Cinema Houses. Similarly, the taxes have also been removed on the film industry.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that we imposed taxes on foreign content in order to promote and encourage local content.

Furthermore, he said that there are many picturesque places in Pakistan and the procedure for the No Objection Certificate (NOC) is being simplified for filmmaking there.
