ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to file a supplementary reference against former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the Rental Power Plants (RPPs) scandal case.

The reports said that a 15-day deadline has been given by the NAB chief Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to Rawalpindi regional office to nail down the graft references against the former premier.

As many as seven references against Raja Pervez Ashraf in the Rental Power Projects (RPP) are in the final stages with Rawalpindi region, the NAB chief was told during a briefing.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan in March last year had declared all such projects unlawful and ordered investigations against the officials, including Ashraf, involved in the scam.
