ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Caretaker Foreign Minister Abdullah Hussain Haroon on Wednesday pointed out that recent terrorist attacks in Bannu and Mastung clearly indicated that more needed to be done to wipe out terrorism from the Country.

While address a Conference in Islamabad, the minister said terrorism remained a big challenge for Pakistan.

However, the foreign minister admitted, that the Country certainly had suppressed the menace strongly over the last few years, and the terrorist elements were not that much strong as they once used to be.

Highlighting the challenges on the foreign policy front, the minister said there were also plenty of opportunities for Pakistan which had not yet been tried.

The foreign minister said they had to move towards redesigning and reframing their policies for the betterment. He said the new consideration had to be economy.

Turning to the issue of water shortages faced by the South Asian region, the foreign minister said the Indus water treaty did not remain sacrosanct, and both India and Pakistan needed to settle their water related disputes.
