ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Caretaker Law Minister Barrister Ali Zafar has said that modern technology will be used in the general elections 2018 and the caretaker government will provide the funds required for the smooth conduct of the polls.

Talking to media representatives on Thursday after his meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad wherein they discussed various issues pertaining to the upcoming elections, Barrister Ali Zafar said that we have to fully cooperate with the ECP.

The minister said that we don’t want to be the part of any blame game. He assured that security will be provided at the polling stations keeping in view the sensitivity of the particular polling station.

Talking about his meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner, Barrister Ali Zafar said that it was about free and fair elections.

The law minister said that elections in former Federal Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) also came under discussion during the meeting. He said that we also discussed matters regarding foreign observers and media.
