Kuwait: Uprising or Kuwait Spring? Riots continued in Kuwait city. Middle East is in political turmoil since Arab Springs was planned. One by one—all important countries have strongest economies are falling down under this political turmoil. Iraq, Syria, Libya and Egypt have become countries where people are begging for food although these were nations who were top economies of the world in past. Two other strong economies are still working out in Middle East—-Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Who will next to fall?– May Kuwait be first.

People are demonstrating on Kuwait streets for the last 6 days for supporting arrested Opposition leader and a former MP, Mussallam al Barrak.

Musallam Al-Barrak is a Kuwaiti politician who was sentenced to five years in prison on April 2013. A Kuwaiti court sentenced Mussallam al-Barrak to five years in prison on Monday as he was convicted of insulting the country’s emir

He had been a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly and had been elected for six consecutive terms in 2012, making him the longest-serving Member of Parliament.

In 2011 and 2012, Al-Barrak played a leading role in protests calling for political reform. In April 2012, he was stripped of his parliamentary immunity by the National Assembly for participating in the storming of the parliament building by protesters.

Social media is playing again an important role as it did in whole Arab Spring. Opposition is posting information, news and photos about armored vehicles were firing at activists as they marched toward a court complex in the capital Kuwait City early Monday morning (around Sahr time) where Mussallam al Barrak, is scheduled to face trial on Monday on charges of insulting the judiciary.
