ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The prime minister’s advisor on national security and foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz will attend the expanded extraordinary meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) executive committee at the level of foreign ministers, the Foreign Office said on Thursday.
The meeting will be held in Jeddah on August 12 with regard to the situation in Gaza.
In a statement, the foreign office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that the advisor’s participation in this meeting will signify Pakistan’s strong political, diplomatic and moral support for the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression and continued occupation.
“Pakistan has been a steadfast and consistent supporter of the Palestinian cause right from the beginning,” the statement said.
