Pakistan demands truce, early restoration of peace in Gaza

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The foreign secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry has said that Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli brutalities against Palestinians in the Gaza strip and calls upon Israel for the ceasefire so that peace could be restored in the area.

In a statement, the foreign secretary said that Pakistan has always backed the Palestine cause and raised voice for Gaza in the United Nations Security Council on Wednesday.

The foreign secretary said that Pakistan presented a resolution in the UN against Israeli attacks violating Palestinians’ human rights. He said that Pakistan has also been active on the forum of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) regarding resolution of the issue.
