Pakistan condemns blast in Bahrain

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday strongly condemned the terrorist incident in Bahrain, saying terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constituted one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.

On Monday, an explosion took place in a village near Bahrain’s capital Manama when policemen were trying to disperse people who were holding a protest there. Subsequently, three police personnel and several innocent people including one Pakistani were killed and many others sustained injuries.

In a statement on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Pakistani foreign office Tasnim Aslam said that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constituted one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.

The spokesperson said that the people of Pakistan, being victims of this menace, sympathize with the people of Bahrain and the families of victims of this terrorist attack.
