ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Pakistan on Sunday on a three-day visit on the invitation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
It is the first Pakistani visit by any top Kuwaiti leader in seven years during which several agreements are expected to be signed which include protection and promotion of investment and increasing export of manpower to Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high level delegation including ministers, top government officials, businessmen and media personnel.
The visiting dignitary will hold talks with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday on ways and means to promote bilateral relations with particular focus on trade and investment.
President Mamnoon Hussain will also host a banquet in honor of the visiting prime minister.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry said the visit carries special significance as it is taking place at a time when Pakistan and Kuwait are celebrating 50 years of establishment of diplomatic relations.
