RAMALLAH, West Bank: Israeli soldiers on Monday killed three Palestinians and injured at least 40 others at the Qalandia refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
The incident occurred after dozens of Israeli soldiers attacked the refugee camp, north of East al-Quds (Jerusalem), to arrest a former Palestinian political prisoner. But the Palestinian youths threw stones at the troops, who responded with gunfire.
According to local sources, the recently released Palestinian prisoner Yousef al-Khatib, who had spent ten years in an Israeli jail, was kidnapped by the Israeli army.
