RAMALLAH: Some 25 Hamas members were arrested overnight in the West Bank, the Israeli army said on Monday, while source privy to the Islamic movement said that detainees include three lawmakers.
According to sources in the Sunni Muslim Palestinian organization, the arrests were carried out early Monday across the territory, adding that those arrested included lawmakers Hatem Kafisha and Mohammad Al-Tal in Hebron, and Ahmad Atoun in Ramallah. However, the Israeli military did not provide details on the arrests.
