Federal govt announces to observe 'Youm-e-Palestine' on August 17

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has announced to observe ‘Youm-e-Palestine’ across the country on August 17.

The announcement was made by the federal minister for information Pervaiz Rasheed while addressing the Labbaik Qibla-e-Awwal rally held in Islamabad on Sunday under the auspices of the Jamaat-e Islami (JI).

A large number of people from different walks of life, besides workers of the JI and the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) participated in the rally.

The information minister said that the Jamaat-e Islami deserves appreciation for holding the rally.

The JI leader Sirajul Haq said that it is our duty to raise voice for the cause of Palestinians and Kashmiris. He lamented that the entire Muslim Umma is silent over the Israeli brutalities against innocent Palestinians.
