CAIRO: Egypt President’s National Security Adviser has said that military coup is under way in the country, a foreign news agency reports, however the Egyptian Army has termed all news regarding President Morsi and his government as rumours.

In another development, Egypt security forces has placed a travel ban on President Muhammad Morsi and other top Islamists.

Meanwhile, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has proposed a consensus government to oversee next parliament election, as the army’s ultimatum for him to meet the popular demands expires.

On the other hand, President Morsi’s spokesman has denied the reports that President Morsi is under house arrest in the Presidential Palace as Egyptian TV Al-Hayat reported earlier.
