New York: Existed since 1996. Hotmail e-mail service will be closed this summer. This was officially announced the company he owns Microsoft, reports NBC.

The reason for this decision was the rapid growth of the service outlook.com, which for the last six months, 60 million registered users. Thus all attempts to revive Microsoft Hotmail with an advertising campaign, while retaining the old design have failed.
