ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Privatization Muhammad Mian Soomro on Thursday chaired the regular weekly meeting in Islamabad to review the progress made so far in the privatization of selected Public Sector Entities (PSEs).

The Federal Secretary Privatization Hasan Nasir Jamy, the Additional Secretary Privatization Khaqan Babar, transaction managers, consultants, and senior officials of the Ministry attended the meeting.

   

The federal minister was briefed about the current status of various entities to be privatized; these included power, financial, insurance, industrial, and real estate sectors.

Muhammad Mian Soomro directed the concerned to address various legal and administrative issues faced in the privatization of subject entities.

The minister also directed to take those issues up with concerned ministries/divisions and departments and move towards timely completion of the privatization process.
