NPC Elections 2020 - The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has extended congratulations to the Journalist Panel led by Shakeel Anjum for winning the National Press Club Elections 2020 after receiving votes from an unprecedented majority. While expressing satisfaction, the PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and the Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi said on Tuesday that the newly elected body will strive for the resolution of issues confronted by the journalist community and make National Press Club (NPC) a hub for positive activities. “Huge participation from the media community in the election process of NPC is a good omen and symbolises that the community is committed towards strengthening the democratic process and norms at all levels,” they said. The PFUJ hailed the spirit of all other contesting groups in the elections and said that they will, with the help of the elected bodywork towards resolution of issues confronted by the media community and media industry, which is a common goal. The NPC Elections 2020 were held on Monday in which Shakeel Anjum secured 1,021 votes while his main rival Shakeel Qarar of Azad Panel bagged 685 votes. The Journalist Panel’s Anwar Raza with 1,108 votes was elected as the NPC Secretary-General and Sagheer Chaudhry with 855 votes was elected as the NPC Secretary Finance.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has extended congratulations to the Journalist Panel led by Shakeel Anjum for winning the National Press Club Elections 2020 after receiving votes from an unprecedented majority.

While expressing their satisfaction, the PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and the Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi said on Tuesday that the newly elected body will strive for the resolution of issues confronted by the journalist community and make National Press Club (NPC) a hub for positive activities.

The NPC Elections 2020 were held on Monday in which Shakeel Anjum secured 1,021 votes and was elected as the President NPC while his main rival Shakeel Qarar of Azad Panel bagged 685 votes.

The Journalist Panel’s Anwar Raza with 1,108 votes was elected as the NPC Secretary-General and Sagheer Chaudhry with 855 votes was elected as the Secretary Finance.
