MediaMay 9 incidents links with digital terrorism having connections with Afghanistan

Monitoring Desk: The May 9 vandalism is directly connected with Digital Terrorism Pakistan is facing and one of the threads of such terrorism is also linked with economic and physical terrorism launched on Pakistan from Afghanistan. In this kind of digital terrorism, a narrative is being launched on Pakistan that the Taliban style of rule is a solution for Pakistan and this only happens when security institutions are removed from Pakistan.

These were observations of participants of a current affairs show “Chotha Satoon” aired by state-run Pakistan Television on Monday. The participants were senior journalists and defence experts Ahmed Mansoor, Aijaz Ahmed, and International Relations expert Shazia Anwer Cheema while senior journalist Jawwad Faizi anchored the show. They were of the view that the PTI resettled TTP terrorists in Pakistan and harbored hatred against state institutions including the Pakistan Army and promoted Talibanisation in Pakistan and the physical representation of such design was May 9 vandalism when symbols of Pakistan’s security and sovereignty were attacked. They added physical, economic, and digital terrorism all different faces of a serpent that attacks from Afghanistan to Pakistan.

Referring to the United Nations report that declared the banned terrorist organization TTP as the biggest terrorist group in Afghanistan is attacking Pakistan from Afghanistan, they believed that Pakistan had been raising the same concerns for a long but the Western world was not listening to Islamabad, and left Pakistan alone after providing best of the best weapons of NATO forces to Afghan Taliban who provided same weapons to TTP to attack security forces of Pakistan.

They were of the view that TTP and other terrorist organizations are a direct threat to the region and especially world peace, TTP is continuously using Afghan territory for terrorist operations from Afghanistan to Pakistan and TTP collaborates with ISIS and Al-Qaeda. The same fact has been documented in the 15th report to the UN Security Council. They thought that Afghanistan was a launching pad of international terrorism while Afghan Taliban are using terrorism as a corporate business.

According to the report, TTP is also getting the patronage of the Taliban rulers of Afghanistan to carry out cross-border attacks in Pakistan. The outlawed TTP is now getting operational and logistical support from terrorist networks like Al-Qaeda.

The report revealed that regional al-Qaeda operatives in Afghanistan, who have long-term ties to the Taliban, are assisting the TTP in carrying out high-profile terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.

The United Nations assessment report further states that there are about 6,500 fighters of the terrorist group TTP in Afghanistan, these fighters are completely free to carry out their activities under the auspices of the Afghan Taliban.

The review report also stated that TTP terrorists in Afghanistan are being trained in Al-Qaeda camps along with local fighters, the camps established by the terrorist organization in several border provinces like Nangarhar, Kandahar, Kunar, and Nuristan and TTP emerged as the largest terrorist group in Afghanistan. This UN report confirms Pakistan’s position that Kabul is not ready to take action against terrorist groups that pose a threat to Pakistan, Afghanistan is becoming a center of terrorism for which the Afghan Taliban government is directly responsible.  Pakistan has always maintained that the Afghan government should not seriously consider supporting Pakistan to eradicate terrorism from its roots.

Mushaal Malik seeks global community intervention to end Indian oppression in IIOJK ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of an unlawfully incarcerated senior Hurriyat Leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, stated that the supremacist Indian occupation authorities had been committing war crimes and violating international human rights with impunity in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) since October 27, 1947 to perpetuate its illegitimate occupation on Kashmir. Speaking at a Kashmir solidarity rally taken out in Islamabad to mark Kashmir Black Day, she said that the people of Kashmir had been enduring the tyrannies of Hindutva regime during the past 77 years but these oppressions and coercive tactics could not dampen their courage. Mushaal, who is also the Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, expressed serious concerns about safety and wellbeing of her jailed husband because the Indian notorious government was hell-bent to silence to most powerful voice of Kashmiri freedom struggle in a fake, fabricated and absurd case. She highlighted that the occupation authorities converted the scenic valley into a garrison city and a killing field, as even Kashmiri children could not go to school right now because parents were imprisoned for their crimes to raise voice of their right to self-determination. However, the Hurriyat leader stated that despite all these hardship and reign of terror unleashed by the brutal forces, Kashmiris remained steadfast struggling for seven decades to break the shackles of Indian slavery. Mushaal went on to say that when the people stand together, freedom can be achieved, with the people's voice, even the mightiest of tyrants can be defeated. The Hurriyat leader stated that people in the occupied valley were not even safe inside their own homes, as bodies of their leaders and loved ones were not returned to them. She highlighted the ordeal faced by Kashmiri leaders, saying Asiya Andrabi held in Tihar Jail, whose health deteriorated alarmingly in jail. She emphasized the importance of remembering this day annually, saying, “Every Pakistani stands in solidarity on this day.” Mushaal encouraged young Pakistanis to launch campaigns through social media, highlighting that Pakistan’s founding leader, Quaid-e-Azam, also placed trust in the power of youth. “You can become our powerful voice today,” she stated, urging them to remain steadfast for Kashmir. Mushaal recalled that India had resettled millions of Indian nationals in the region unlawfully to alter its demographic makeup, aiming to turn it into what she termed a mini-India. She called upon the international community to hold India accountable for its excesses in IIOJK and to support the Kashmiri people's struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. Mushaal vowed that the people of Kashmir have endured decades of oppression, but their resolve remains unbroken. However, she urged the international community and human rights organizations to shun the double-standard and take note of Indian worst human rights violations so as to resolve the Kashmir dispute once for all in accordance to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
