Monitoring Desk: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has dismissed 38 personnel from service under charges of their negligence in controlling human smuggling, reports “The Inquirer Islamabad”.

In December a boat carrying 65 plus Pakistanis Dunki riders (persons entering illegally in a foreign country) capsized near the southern coast of Crete Island, Greece.

Dunki riders belonged to the Karachi, Multan, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad divisions. According to a story published by the Inquirer dismissed personnel primarily held the ranks of sub-inspector, assistant sub-inspector, and constable while no senior officers were held responsible for human smuggling that is constantly increasing from Pakistan to abroad. ‘

On the other hand, no action has been taken According to Pakistan’s National Commission for Human Rights, Pakistan, in the year 2023, over 6,000 Pakistanis undertook illegal journeys to reach European countries.
