Fauzia Kulsoom Rana demands India to immediately release JKLF leader Yasin Malik

She said that the Women Journalists Association of Pakistan is an organization that advocates fundamental human rights and appeals to all international organizations, including the United Nations, to play their role in the release of the incarcerated Kashmiri leader who has been suffering for years in illegal imprisonment under Indian oppression and tyranny. Fauzia Rana said that no minority in India is safe from the persecution and tactics of Narendra Modi-led Hindutva regime in India. She said India has adopted the policy of state terrorism and is also involved in the killing of Sikh freedom leaders living abroad as well as thousands of Kashmiris. ensuring a 33 percent quota for them. Apart from this, ministry’s support was assured for fulfillment of the long-standing demands of WJAP for gender audit and implementation of gender policy in the media industry.
Women journalists in the delegation also discussed issues such as improving workplaces, protection from online and offline threats, and equality in salary structure.
