MediaEuropean population considers "PTI a political wing of TTP"

Islamabad, Pakistan: “People in European countries think that law enforcing agencies of Pakistan are again confronted by banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) whose political wing in the form of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) attacked military installations and state buildings on May 9, 2023″.

This was observed in the television show “Views on News” broadcasted by state-run television PTV World the show was anchored by Faheem Bangash while Brig (retd) Waqar Hassan Khan, Shazia Anwer Cheema, and Dr. Abid Abbasi were participants in Thursday’s show.

“People in European countries think that law enforcing agencies of Pakistan are again confronted by banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) whose political wing in the form of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) attacked military installations and state buildings on May 9, 2023"

The participants were of the view that PTI while forgetting the larger interests of the country is (was) behaving as an extremist outfit and had fixed the country as its sole target.

Prague-based author of books, writer, and foreign affairs experts Shazia Anwer Cheema informed the participants that people around her (in Europe) had been asking her that had there been a political wing of TTP with the name of PTI active now in Pakistan that had been targeting military installations? She was of the view that such feelings among the European population are due to several similarities between TTP and PTI and graphics of burning military installations, demolishing monuments of martyrs, and occupying state buildings like the Peshawar Radio Pakistan building. Shazia Anwer added that European citizens believed only a terrorist outfit could attack military installations in such a professional way as the PTI did.

Brig (retd) Waqar Hassan Khan while narrating the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army for international peace stated that Pakistan had been at the forefront of global peace by providing peacekeeping services wherever there was chaos and Pakistan Army enjoyed a wonderful reputation among international forums. He was of the view that attacks on military installations shocked the entire nation and that the cult of PTI had been behaving in an obnoxious way.

Dr Abid Abbasi narrated the story of the rise of PTI and stated that this cult was crafted against popular political parties and now it was attacking the state institutions.

Shazia Anwer Cheema explained how May 9, 2023, was seen in Europe and said that there was no doubt there had been many similarities between TTP and PTI, and both did not respect and believe in the constitution of Pakistan and both wanted to install new constitution because TTP considered the constitution un-Islamic so wanted a new constitution while PTI believed that the constitution is redundant and must be removed and replaced with a Presidential form of constitution. She was of the view that West is skeptical that PTI is on the road to TTP and can be a bigger problem for the outer world so it must be dealt with promptly.

She was of the view that TTP and PTI expressed their hatred for Pakistan Army and both attacked Pakistan Army metaphorically as well as physically. She added that both outfits used the KPK province as their launching pad and both had followers who did not believe in logical conversation and had strongly been indoctrinated by the cult leaders.
