MediaDND Chief Editor Agha Iqrar Haroon hails cooperation with AZERTAC

BAKU, Azerbaijan: The Heads of leading Pakistani media outlets including the Chief Editor of Dispatch News Desk (DND) News Agency Agha Iqrar Haroon visited Baku on the eve of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day.

Azerbaijan’s Victory Day is celebrated annually on November 8 in commemoration of Azerbaijan being the victor in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, officially labeled as The Patriotic War.

The Pakistani media delegation met the Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Aslan Aslanov.

The Chief Editor DND Agha Iqrar Haroon hailed cooperation with AZERTAC and hoped to further strengthen in times to come.

The Group Editor of the National Herald Tribune Riaz Ahmad Malik expressed readiness to take steps to further strengthen the relations with AZERTAC.

Talking to the visiting heads of Pakistani media outlets, Aslan Aslanov said that AZERTAC intends to expand cooperation with leading media bodies of Pakistan, according to a report published by AZERTAC on Thursday.

“Your visit to Azerbaijan on the eve of the Victory Day is very symbolic. During the Patriotic War, Pakistan provided great support for Azerbaijan. Under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, our army liberated our lands and ended 30 years of occupation,” Aslan Aslanov said.

“During these years, Armenia destroyed mosques, houses and all infrastructure in these territories. You will see all this with your own eyes during your visit to the liberated territories. You will also witness the large-scale construction work started in these territories,” he added.

In the meeting, the two sides noted that Azerbaijan and Pakistan, friendly and fraternal countries, have always supported each other at all levels.
