MediaCan Pakistan challenge bloggers using AI tools to generate content for hate...

Islamabad, Pakistan: Fabricating content is as simple as making an instant cup of tea with an electric kettle placed in the corner of the room but it is as lethal as a double-edged sword for killing the truth.

In the 20th century, the fabrication of content for propaganda purposes was considered an art, and intelligent minds having excellent backgrounds in their respective fields were hired for this purpose.

Now things have changed as societies have changed. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is already taking the place of brilliant minds but with a threat of being exposed if AI is used to decipher the authorship of the content.

One must be shameless, barefaced, and blatant to face such a situation therefore no one having academic grace and professional honesty takes the risk of being attracted to AI-generated content while faceless, dubious, and suspicious characters having intellectual bankruptcy love to use AI tools for content generating, developing hate-campaigns and for publishing fake news and deep fake products. One such is Global Village Space (GVS) that had been targeting Pakistan for a long and no action has been taken against this platform for reasons best known to state institutions themselves. Working closely with some US congressmen, the GVS team had been providing fabricated content against Pakistan that Western think tanks, media men, and politicians had promoted.

Can Pakistan challenge bloggers using AI tools to generate content for hate-mongering?

Caught red-handed recently, GVS has a serious situation when several North American and European news platforms like AFP, MSN News, Yahoo News, NBC News, Straight Times, Latin Times, and many more questioned the credibility and authorship of GVS but Pakistani media is still mum for reasons best known to Pakistani media men. The situation has raised possibilities that the man behind GVS Dr Moeed Pirzada is also using AI-generated content for his vlogs that mostly target Pakistan as state institutions of Pakistan. It is simple to ask AI tools to generate content by providing targeted keywords and then content is generated. One only needs to use this content in discussions/vlogs and speeches.

Researchers who are interested in AI tools believe that one should transcribe the vlogs of Dr Moeed Pirzada; check them through IA tools and one can find amazing results. No rules are being followed by YouTube and other platforms providing monetization for vlogs therefore such personalities are getting economic and social benefits. Can Pakistan which is a victim of hate-speech of such people challenge the credibility of content being produced through AI tools by people like Dr Mooed Pirzada?
